On large projects, there are thousands of questions to answer and decisions that need to be made. Not all of these fall under the standard responsibilities of the architect’s team. On these large jobs, I serve as the Owner’s informed eyes and ears. I take off my architect hat and leave that work to another firm. I will work with you from the very first stages of a project, to analyze a site and help you interview and contract with the most appropriate team of design and construction professionals.
While a good architect will have the Owner’s interest in mind, it is critical to have someone on your side of the table to inform you of what the technical jargon really means to you and your project.
A very collaborative process is required to optimize a construction project. Everyone involved brings important experience to the table. An Owner’s Representative orchestrates the endeavor to bring balance to the inputs. My years of experience allow me to fully engage in the conversation about a project’s goals and ambitions while respecting the realities of zoning codes, schedule and budgets. I work in concert with the team during design charettes and brainstorming sessions. By steering clear of design dead ends, we can keep the team focused on driving towards the ultimate solution in a linear and efficient manner.
Hiring a qualified Owner’s Representative to work with you is cheap insurance. If you have a critical project that could use the benefit of my experience, please call me to discuss how I can best assist you in achieving your goals.
