This project called for a complete remodel and a new two story addition to a 1950's modern residence.  The entire floor of the original house was opened up into one long living space, anchored by the large kitchen island to the South. The new large bedroom and bath on the main floor of the addition will allow for a future 'age in place' option if living on one level is ever called for.  The upper floor of the addition is the current Master Suite and looks over the original house to sweeping views of Lake Washington, including the window in the shower.
